We Are What We Eat: An Analysis of the Hispanic Food Industry

Abstract 

This project examines the Hispanic food industry from a marketing, economic, and finance perspective. As part of this project, research highlights several business-related issues and challenges, including: running a family business, the rapid growth of the Hispanic food grocery market, the importance of adapting to changes in demographics, market competition, and financial growth trajectories . Companies highlighted in this project include La Preferida (Spanish for “The Preferred”), a Chicago-based merchant of Hispanic foods, and La Goya.
